Droid X has Froyo now, maybe Devour can follow?

    Do you have to have root to do it? The article really didn't specify, It just says that it works with root, not only root. I just got a replacement Devour and haven't rooted it yet, that's why I ask.

    I think it might have to be. I have been hearing mixed things about this update. Some say you need root, others say you don't. Let me know what happens after you try it with root

    Still getting verification failed error after rooting. It's probably designed to update from 2.1.

    meh, you are probably right. Oh well, just will to wait on some creative hackers to do something with that droid X hack so we can at least start using custom roms...
