Hey guys, I've seen different things posted about this, but I wanted to clarify. If I'm eligible for an NE2 upgrade and I'm ordering online from VZW, should the DX cost $200 or $150? I've seen people say 200, also saw people say you get a 50 dollar discount for ordering online.

I can see in the verizon online store that it says the Incredible would cost $200 for me, so I'm guessing I'm going to be paying 200 for the DX?

    thanks.

So the NE2 is ONLY for online through VZW at 12:01 am on July 15th (with free overnight shipping), correct? My 2 years is pretty much up at the end of July this year and the accessories with Costco aren't that appealing.

do you have a discount through your company? man i wish i never switched from ups - they had the best NE2 rates on phones. i am hoping my NE2 price is $99 through my current company discount just like the DINC is right now.

I don't think NE2 is dependent on corporate discounts, it's how long you've owned a particular phone and kept service on it. Some, like myself, were fortunate enough to be "grandfathered-in" when Verizon decided to change the NE2 credit from $100 to $50 recently (I believe sometime earlier this year).

So depending on when you purchased your last phone OP, you maybe eligible for a $100 or $50 credit via your NE2.

I would call and speak to a CSR to inquire about this further.

NE2 is good whether you purchase online, over the phone, or via a B&M store (including Best Buy).

Effective on February 15th 2009 are changes to the popular, if not confusing, New Every Two program that encourages customers to sign up for a 2-year contract renewal by offering an additional discount on a new handset.

Customers with a monthly calling plan that is $79.99 and greater currently enjoy a $100 NE2 discount on a new handset. Under the new plan, that discount will fall to a meager $50. Likewise, customers with a monthly calling plan of $34.99 to $79.98 will see their NE2 discount fall from the current $50 to $30.

If your contract started before the 2/15/09, then you are grandfathered into the old NE2.

It is possible things have changed. When I was under the UPS plan I had a certain price on phones and when I switched to the Abbott plan the NE2 prices changed on the exact same phones during the same week.

Not necessarily. A lot of corporations' and companies' employees receive discounts via carriers, especially Verizon. I know my sister who works for Northrop Grumman receives 25% off service and accessories each month. I also know a lot of people receive discounts off of phones using corporate plans.

But in general, NE2's are tied to how long you've had a particular phone/service.
