Just watched the iPad launch video -
Apple - QuickTime - Apple Special Event January 2010

After watching all the major features and applications, I felt like my DROID DOES all those things and probably much more because it's pocket size with phone features. If iPad has bigger screen then Droid has crisp view too.

Only thing I wish is that Motorola would have prepared any such video launching for the Droid too.

I'm so giddy over the iPad unveiling, since it turned out to be such a piece of utter junk. The Droid does everything that can do, plus it's a phone, and it's not made by Apple. All pluses.

Yeah, but would I read a book? Is a more important question. and if the only thing it can do that the droid doesn't is an ebook reader, than it is a super expensive e-book reader.

Steve Jobs referred to this iPad as "magical". I... I, just don't see it.

yes, we did, and this one is just as pointless.

Note that the other one was moved since it does not belong in the Droid forum in the first place.

Absolutely (in fact, I do ALL my pleasure reading on my Droid -- before that, I used my Palm Treo for all my reading -- Droid screen is huge compared to Treo!).

Please discuss any non - droid matters in the lounge... there is already quite a large thread on the iPad in there
