There is probably a simple answer to this question and I am going to appear a complete jerk, but I can't find it.

When I am inputting text in any app and I want to go back a few characters I have a choice of backspacing and deleting every character backwards until I am where I want, or I can try and place the cursor where I want. Placing the cursor in exactly the right spot is tricky.

Is there a back arrow that simply takes you backwards without deleting everything in its path.

Like I said, I just can't see it.

If you swipe over the optical trackpad from right to left then the cursor will move back one character at a time.

You can also go up/down lines like that as well.

    Punky, that is great. Thankyou.

It wasn't quite as obvious as I expected so I don't feel too big a jerk

    Cheers fella
