My wife has lost her data several times so she asked is there a way to back up the SD card in the event the data got lost again. Microsoft has a program called sync toy thats free to download. I downloaded the program, connected my phone to the PC as a hard drive, create a new folder pair in sync toy, select the DX drive on the left side and a folder on your computer on the right. I selected contribute so that nothing ever gets deleted, but you can select sync, or echo if you like. It takes a couple minutes to sync the first time, but after that it looks for any changes and only syncs what has changed. Makes backing up the phone a lot easier. I know you can drag and drop, but since this way looks for changes, it's a lot faster then having to copy everything each time.
