I'm coming off of a BH2, and was wondering if the Devs are going to be able to have a field day w/ this. Id like to own something like the G1 in that it has the capability of being upgraded 3-5 versions of android forward.

Total guess here, but HTC seems to be the most root friendly phones.

Yes you can almost guarantee it will be rooted very soon. It's the new MyTouch and like chad said, HTC phones are traditionally the most dev-friendly phones.

I hope it's easily rooted. I'm a little worried because the Incredible still hasn't been rooted and I'm sure there's a lot of people working on it.

from what i've read root coming to the slide soon is not looking good...for now, at least.

also a little off topic but the exploit that gained root on the evo 4g has already been closed by an ota from sprint! here is the understatement of the day...manufacturers do not want their devices rooted

I'm guessing they want to wait for Froyo to be released first before rooting?
