    Hi all,

    I have done a search and can`t find aa answer to my problem,

    I am trying to set up my email account with Virgin Media on my Desire but I can`t get the settings right, it`s a pop account, I can receive mail but I can`t send it. I`m with Three mobile but my phones unlocked, and my email account is ******@blueyonder.co.uk. Any help would be great thanks.

    When I connect via wifi to my home it sends ok, but this seems a bit pointless when I`m away from home.

    You need to either use Three's SMTP server for outgoing email rather than BlueYonder's, or enable authentication on the BY server connection.

    I tried the 3 mobile settings, after spending all afternoon messing about with it, I finally got it to work via wifi and mobile settings, all I had to do was change the smtp setting from blueyonder.co.uk to virginmedia.com, I can`t believe the solution was so simple.:confused:
