Is there an emoji plugin app that I can download for the stock messaging app for my gs2?

I had handcent sms on my htc desire because the stock app was poo but I quite like the stock sms app on the gs2 (I'm using the one with the cats, so cute!)

Do I need to use handcent to be able to see emojis that friends send me via sms?

I'm not sure about the plug in you mention there but just to let you know that samsung removes the ability to chose a different theme for the stock messaging app in the most recent firmware - you will be stuck with a black background and yellow and blue message bubbles.

Got to say, I've been using hanscent and its pretty good.

I did have one issue with it. Every time I got a message the S2 would flag it in the social hub. When you go into the social hub there were no new messages there to read. The only way you could remove the notification was to open the message app, open the last received message and then close again.. which defeats the reason why you have a 3rd party app loaded in the first place.

I found the solution to this. I rooted my phone, purchased titanium backup and froze my message app.. now it works like a charm..

I like stock sms app but I've started using Handcent because it supports BLN and stock doesn't. Sometimes handcent still shows unread message count when I have read the text. Also sometimes it doesn't show an unread count with goto lockscreen. I prefer stock but I like having BLN :(
