Epic 4G HDMI out

I know the Samsung Micro USB to HDMI cable for the Samsung Galaxy S series has been out for quite a few months now. Galaxy S Does MicroUSB to HDMI - BriefMobile Does anyone have any proof, like a video, that this cable works on the US line of Galaxy S phones? More specifically the Epic 4G?

Also a has anyone used the Allshare feature to connect to a TV?

I use allshare all the time LOVE IT. I use my phone to make movies of my kids then play it on the big screen TV. I have never heard of a Micro USB to HDMI but will google it right ater I post this. But do not have high hopes the bandwidth needed for good HDMI handshake with device and TV might seem a little shady. But like I said I really have no idea. Researching now
UPDATE:
It looks like the DEV'S on XDA gave it a try already and no go

Er, the micro USB to HDMI output in fact never came out for any Galaxy S model.

MHL connectivity is supported in the SGS2 according to Samsungs official announcement, but that functionality has never come to any of the original Galaxy S line (European or otherwise).

What they do have is SD-out via the 3.5mm jack, and that works well although of course is sadly limited compared to HDMI out.
