Eris mail problem

i have my yahoo mail set up on my droid eris, but it doesnt seem to update itself for when i get new emails. i have notifications turned on but whenever i wanna check my mail i have to refresh my inbox, then all my new emails show up. is there any way to change this so i will be notified in real time when i get a new email?

My Yahoo mail hasn't worked properly since day 1. It would work fine for a few days then stop. There are numerous people with Yahoo mail problems on Droids.

i figured, since you had to do all this shit to get your free yahoo mail account to work anyway. hopefully all these problems will get fixed with the next update
