Support Eris to Ally - User opinions

    I have had the silent bug on my Eris through 4 devices. Verizon finally offered to replace my device with an Ally. Can anyone who has made the switch from Eris to Ally weigh I'm with their opinions on the differences between the 2 and whether or not you like the device? I loved my Eris until 2.1 made it impossible to use the phone reliably.

    Never had the Erid but I know a lot about it trust me get the Ally, its a really nice phone, just needs root. But if you can live without root you'll love the Ally

    IMHO I would rather have the Eris. Its already rooted and it has a huge dev community here (second only to the droid) I've had a lot of face time with the Ally and the previous post is right, it needs root badly.

    I hated the Eris and switched to the Ally as soon as it became available. I like it much better than the Eris. Having never had a rooted phone, I really can't comment on that issue but I would like to have the option. I hope someone is working on it.

    Had the eris loved it got bored sold it got the ally its even better
