Video Calls through Skype aren't available yet but if you want to use Skype, since they've locked it down with VZ, you can go through Fring and it allows you to use your skype account.

Skye has an exclusive deal with Verizon for the time being. Other carriers probably wont have a skype app for a year or two.

A Skype Video Chat app, you're correct they wont have. But with Fring you can use your Skype account for calling on any network and any OS phone.

p.s. I don't work for Fring, just saying it's my solution to the VZ exclusive Skype deal.

My bad. I only read the OP. There are several apps out now that use Skype minus video I believe. I just figured the question was directed towards video because of the front facing camera.

I apologize if this is ignorant, but if gChat and gMail both having video chat capabilities, and this being a "google" phone, why would we not be able to use one of these on the phone for video chat? Or is this already known to be available?
