Just borrowed the battery from a friends EVO.

Fits perfectly. No little open edges. If anything it made it a little tighter (no more creaking). And its also slightly.... Slightly heavier. Which is actually pretty nice.

It's 1500 compared to our 1300. After someone in the Seidio thread reported that the 1750 was putting out a little over 1400, I'm thinking of purchasing one of these. Especially since the pics of the 2150 which is now available make it look like the phone is huge.

Just wanted to pass on the info for anyone interested.

So whats the difference between the EVO 1500mAh and the TP2 1500mAh? Besides the price, isn't it the same thing?

The way I understand it: Color. The Evo battery is Red (like ours) while the TP2 battery is black; besides that, should be exactly the same.

The Tp2 is the same battery as the Evo. A good chinese battery is a good chinese battery. paying for the oem is just paying for branding.

The EVO battery is the same as the TP2. Only difference is the last 3 numbers of the Part No. and the color.

    TP2: 35H00123-00M (Black)
    EVO: 35H00123-22M (Red)

Otherwise, they're the exact same battery in all other regards. Heck, they're even the same model number RHOD160

From what I read the Touch Pro battery isn't a "perfect"... It leaves creases where it's not perfectly closed at the bottom. I haven't tested this first hand.

This battery fit perfect. When I put it up against my battery it seemed to be physically exactly the same.

Thats what I was wondering, if the new 1500mAh batteries are manufactured a little bit tighter? Why do the TP2 batteries leave a gap but the EVO battery doesnt?

The TP2 battery starts with a slight gap in my phone, but it disappears after about 15 seconds. The same battery leaves no gap in my girlfriend's Incredible. I have a strong suspicion the slight mfg error between the battery, label, and phone (cover/battery compartment) would be enough to show the gap or not. All in all they're snug and fit the Incredible.

Maybe they are completely different models, but I think recycling the battery mfg process for the same 1500 35h00123-xxM batteries is easier. It's just the labels at this point that they need to print differently.

Again, I could be completely wrong.

Well, I ordered one. I know it is pricey, but I was going to get the extended and it is still cheaper. The extended battery is extremely disappointing design wise and I just need a smidge more power to get me through my longer days. My phone usually makes it through my work days fine, it is just the weekends that need a little boost!

Just curious if anybody has weighed the stock 1300 vs an OEM 1500 battery? Not that it really matter but I would like to know...
