I have a friend who has the incredible and when you go to text there is an option to click on the MIC (lower left corner of the keyboard) It is standard with no handcent required to do this. Do any EVO owners out there know if this will work on the EVO also. The Mic emblem is on the lower left under the letter Z. It works great

It works! unless you use Swype, which doesn't have the mic key.

Handcent is 50 times better than the stock messenger on HTC phones anyways, so wont matter to me :)

Yea HTC's keyboard that's default on Evo has a mic button. The stock android keyboard (not on the evo but you'll bet it'll be on custom ROMs soon) also has the mic button.

yep, pretty sure it's a 2.1 feature all around (except phones that recently got upgraded to 2.1).
