Ok earlier when I was browsing around I found a thread that talks about putting in different codes into the keypad to get your phone to do different things. So I tried one of them...

    *#*#4636#*#*

When i put this code into my phone it brings up a menu called "testing" in the top bar.. then it has 4 menu's

    Phone Information

    Battery information

    Battery History

    Usage Statistics

When I select Phone information among the various menu options and infomation given there is a dropdown menu under
    "set preferred network type"

when you select it, there are several options:

    WCDMA preferred
    GSM only
    WCDMA only
    GSM auto (PRL)
    CDMA auto (PRL)
    CDMA only
    EvDo only
    GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
    Unknown

So.. does this mean you can use this phone on a GSM or a WCDMA network???

Anyone who might know I would GREATLY appreciate some insight!!!

The phone does not have those radios in it, so the answer is no.

But this could be promising in that HTC may have thought of a world phone EVO offering in the future?
