My droid has a few bugs and I'm probably taking it back for another one.. The question I have is, do I have to redownload all my apps and contact lists?

No you don't need to redownload anything. All of your info including contacts should already be synced with your google account so when you sign in when first activating your phone it will automatically upload all of your info, including your contacts and apps so nothing really needs to be done.

How long does it take to sync? Some of my contacts came over, which is fine. But none of my downloads have come yet. If I go to the store, and click on Downloads it says "No Downloads"...I downloaded a ton of apps on my Eris before I decided to switch to the Droid...
