After the 2.2 update, my battery has been starting to be extremely bad. I recharged it yesterday until it was 100% charged. Now, 18 hours later, the battery is at 15%.
I only used my HTC Desire to do this:
    1. Listening to offline songs through Wimp, a Spotify-clone, for about an hour.
    2. Texting 3-4 sms.
    3. Doing 1 call.
    4. Having it on while I was asleep.

I'm starting to get so pissed off right now. My battery was usually lasting 3-4 days with this kind of use, but now it's so bad.

Here are the running apps (if that is of anyones interest):
    com.fd.httpd - 2.9MB
    net.rgruet.android.g3watchdog - 2.9MB
    com.metago.astro - 2.8MB
    com.aspiro.wamp - 10MB
    com.lookout - 4.4MB
    com.htc.bgp - 12MB
    com.google.process.gapps - 7.6MB
    com.facebook.katana - 14MB
    com.swype.android.inputmethod - 15MB

Does anyone suffer from something similar? What can I do to fix this?

But the battery used to last for approx. 3-4 days with this kind of use, so there has to be something wrong.

never had that even on stock rom
infact the majority of reports are 24hrs
i find it shocking coming from a nokia that would last a week
but if thats how it is for all the extras you get with a smart phone so be it.

But the sudden change in battery life makes me think that there is some app draining all the battery life, or there is a bug or w.e within Froyo. I don't know, I just really want my battery life to go back to normal.

Are you running the latest version of the Facebook app, as I understand there have been big problems with this keeping the phone awake and syncing all the time.

Since going to 2.2 my battery life has gone off a cliff.
I've done a plot over time of which apps are using CPU (using System Panel Full), and there are no rogues - just 'System' burbling along using a constant 1% CPU. Seems like it never really goes to sleep.
Bought a new battery and did the trick charging, but no better.
    Haven't installed the Facebook update.

Download an app called Spare Parts, and look at the partial wake usage stats in the battery information section and make sure it is showing for 'since last unplugged'.

If anything in the list seems to have an unusually high amount of partial wake lock then that's probably what's eating the battery. Facebook was the issue for me, since I fixed this it does not keep partial wakelock for minutes on end.

Try doing what I suggested in this post for the facebook issue (if it is the issue).

To be fair 18hours is more than I ever get out of it. I'd like to know how you were getting 3-4 days from your phone...
