Facebook adding photos to phone gallery?

Okay, so, about two days ago I updated facebook through the playstore.(yeah, thanks captain obvious). I noticed last night when I was trying to show a friend a picture i had took, that facebook had saved ALL of my friends' profile pictures to my phone's photo gallery.

Is there a reason why this is happening, did I do something when updating that caused this, and how can I correct, and prevent this from happening again??

Interesting, I have never experienced this before, but have you tried deleting the photos from your gallery? And have you gone into the Facebook app and hit menu to see if there is an option to disable this? Let me know ASAP.

yeah Ive started to delete them, but facebook doesnt have an option for it. ive check settings for the fb app, my phone settings and even the gallery settings. It's mad weird.
