Help Facebook Chat

I installed the update for facebook and now I have facebook chat. I have a problem though, when someone sends me a message through there my phone gives me no notification. I get the little thing in the notification bar but no sound and my screen does not light up like it does with a text..is there anyway to get a normal notification for facebook chat??

I think Facebook made that an Android 2.2-only feature. Yell at them.

Personally, I use a separate chat app for my Facebook (and all other) chats so I'm not dependent on the horribly-crippled Facebook app for Android. A real chat app supports notifications fine. I use imo, but I've heard good things about IM+.
