facebook events sync issue

I must first apologize for my noob idiocy with regard fo smartphones. I purchased my first one yesterday and got a razr. I have had basic flip phones for ten years.

I am trying to get my facebook events onto my calendar application. I have researched the topic and think i found the problem.

I do have my facebook account linked to my gmail account and know all i need to do is export the facebook event to gmail calendar. However no option exists in the facebook site while browsing with my phone and there is no export option for my facebook app either.

Events i enter manually into gmail calendar show up fine in the calendar app so ots obviuosly a facebook issue.

Am i missing something i surely must be but om at my wits end
