When I look in Settings > Manage Applications > Running I have Facebook (4.39mb) and Facebook for HTC Sense (4.34mb). Sounds like a stupid question, but do I need both of these, as I'd be glad to reclaim 4mb of memory if not?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve.

You do if you like to link your contacts to your Facebook friends. Facebook is the equivalent of the iPhone Facebook app, and Facebook for HTC Sense is another app that allows you to link your phone/google contacts to your Facebook friends.

Thanks Chilly. I just wondered whether the Facebook app relied on Facebook for HTC Sense for some of it's functionality. Similarly I don't use Peep or Mail but suspect I'd have problems with Twidroyd and K-9 if I removed them.

There would be no point in removing them even if you could, as they're part of the stock installation it wouldn't free up any space. If you're sure you're not using them you can clear the data and that would give you some space back, but there's no point uninstalling them.
