Help Facebook for HTC Sense - Login Issue

I've added a work location and can now log in.

How did you link your contacts?????

Err, my exaltations may have been a little premature... I've got 3 pictures linked out of about 120 or so. Dam it!

I had to link my contacts one by one, you should see an option at the top of the screen if you try to edit a contact, something along the lines of "link to facebook".

Nope, click that and no friends appear. If you go to Facebook>>Account>>Application Settings>>HTC Sense>>Application Profile. Then look in the conversations.

You will find one about HTC linking with Facebook. The issue I had getting it to log in is solved by adding the city to your work place on facebook. However it won't sync contacts on my phone. It appears to be a world wide issue effecting everyone who's rooted in the last month or updraded to 2.1.

My phone was flashed so all contact info has gone so I have nothing, just odly 3 pictures. Seems if you upgrade using the OTA official 2.1, your Facebook sync will appear to be working fine, but if you were to delete the account on your phone and re sync you may find it doesn't sync.

I was having login issues too since updating to .66 Rom on Orange and then installing first part of 2.1 update.
Have just added work location on Facebook and it logged in first time

Worked for me as well. Very strange. Still can't link contacts.

This is what HTC replied to my emailed technical help question regarding 'people' links (or lack of) with FB.

Mine is fixed. Just readded the HTC sense for facebook and all synced.

Woke up this morning and mine had synced and all working fine. Didn't have to do anything, just sorted itself out.

Me too!!!

However, I removed 'Facebook for HTC Sense' and re-enabled the account, logged in again (using the add work location fix) and all my friends are now synced!

On topic though - I wonder if the fact the official orange 2.1 ota has been released, could it mean they have fixed the facebook sync????

I wouldn't get too excited, this is orange we're talking about!

Different issue - still being worked on by FB and Developers. No cure for all yet available.
