Help Factory reset causes G1 to stop working

I have a G1 that used to be working. I made a mistake by factory resetting it while my SIM card is still in the slot. So right now, when I power up my G1, it always show a screen that says "No SIM card". Clicking on the Menu button won't do anything. The only things I can do is to power off and maybe making an emergency call.

I also tried many times to power off, then hold the Home and End key together fr 30 seconds. Then the yellow triangle shows up. This is when I pull out the keyboard, do Alt-L, then do a clean wipe out using the mouse-wheel. But that wouldn't help either.

What should I do now? Thanks
