    Hi forum,

I need to send my phone back to Virgin Mobile due to a multitude of problems it has been having.
I did a data wipe and factory reset from the boot menu and this should have unrooted the phone, as far as I'm aware.
I'm not sure how picky Virgin is about customers rooting their phones and things of this nature, so I'm curious about your collective experience in this regard, and I'm wondering if I should follow any further procedures before mailing it back to them.
I previously changed the boot animation using Rom Toolbox to something less offensive to my senses than the original VM animation. If this needs to be restored, does anyone know where it can be found and how to easily apply it with or without root privileges?

I know that is kind of a lot of questions for one post, any information would be appreciated.

Factory reset has been stated many times to not unroot you. I can't find out where the posts are, but I think Leslie has mentioned how to unroot. There's also a way of completely restoring your phone back to out-of-the-box, found here.

Thank you for your reply. This is very useful information to me. I guess I was misinformed.
