I saw this ever since the main AF site had a big update and a change of style.

Just as a test, I logged into AF from a machine that has never been there before and the icon showed up using IE8 and chrome. To further test, booted into linux and checked from Firefox, chrome and Opera. All showed the favicon.

    Hmmmmm.

EDIT: It's something with the new version of Chrome. My desktop is running v22.x. My laptop had 21.x and the icons were displaying properly. After updating to the latest version of chrome, I started getting the vBulletin icons on my laptop as well.

This seems to be something specifically with Android Forums and Chrome v22. Other vBulletin site display the favicon correctly.

I'm seeing it sometimes, and not others.

It's not just vBulletin, it's vBulletin 3.x :). Phases, this is a known bug, it sort of defies logic, because the correct favicon is in place but vBulletin keeps spitting out their own. I experienced the same thing with my forum a couple of months ago. If you have active ticket support, you can file one with the VB guys.
