Help File Transfer Forbidden to Device

I am unable to transfer pictures or music to my phone (htc desire) via bluetooth after a paired connection is made. The failure reason states: "The Transfer is Forbidden by the target device". I can use bluetooth to send pictures outbound but not inbound.

How can I get my pictures onto my new phone?
