File transfer?

Hi all,
hope you are all well....can you help me please?
I am looking at a simple ftp program, that will allow me to send and recieve files across my home network to my Windows Vista desktop.

Don't know where to start! can any of you suggest one or two programs that will do the job. Free preferably but i don' mind a small charge!

Look in Play for ftp client free or ftp server free, depending on which device you want doing which end.

Or just use an app like ES File Explorer, go to LAN, add the desktop's IP address and you should be able to transfer files between them.

Hi again Rockbat...
I have tried to connect using Es file explorer but cannot see my main pc. I wonder if its because I am trying to connect over a wireless connection and NOT directly connected.

Can you tell me if I should be able to connect over a wireless router? by the way, I am entering the pc's ip address AND NOT the routers, is this right?
