Firmware Upgrade

Hello I was trying to do a firmware upgrade on my galaxy S2 via kies and i clicked the upgrade firmware and it showed the window of the "prepare for upgrade" and stayed like that for a hour at 0%! Can you please let me know how much time it generally takes for an upgrade?

The last time I did it, it took 2 hours to reach 50% and less than an hour after that to finish off the full update. You would need to make sure you have a good internet connection.
