From what I understand, Apple hasn't even started the battle over multi touch yet. First they're going after HTC for a bunch of other patents . Once (if) they get a HTC capitulation, they'll probably go for the easy settlement on multitouch and use that as a weapon against the rest. HTC's the test case because they don't have a deep patent portfolio. Palm, Motorola, Google and maybe Samsung do, so they get a pass for now. >If< Samsung is avoiding multitouch on this phone, my guess is they're either unwilling to take on Apple in the future or maybe the phone simply isn't capable.
