Has anyone got any info on the possibility of flashing the EVO 4G so it can be used on the VZW network?

    Thanks for your help

From what I understand is that you cannot unlock a VZW phone to be used on Sprint, so I'm not sure if you can do it the other way around.

would this be better in the EVO section instead of the Droid X section?

Verizon would never add the MEID of a phone they don't carry to their database, so you wouldn't be able to activate it.

No, I think he's talking about flashing a different MEID onto the phone. I know it works for lower end devices. Not sure about smartphones.

Sprint or Verizon will NOT activate ANY ESN (GSM phones have MEID's) that hasn't been branded to their network. Period. So no Sprint phones on Verizon, no Verizon phones on Sprint.

I highly doubt you will ever see the EVO unless it is released natively for VZW.

    Correction-
MEIDs are used to identify CDMA equipment, not GSM. ESNs are an all but obsolete identification system as the finite amount of available serial numbers has been reached a couple years ago. GSM uses IMEI to identify equipment.

    Stop the acronyms!

Yeah looks like I got the two confused. Sprint still uses ESN's though.
