Every time I flash a different Kernel my Evo goes into a boot loop. I am using RA-Recovery, and wiping Data/cahe and dalvik before flashing. I flashed a new ROM and was able to install Kernel one time, any more than that and the Boot loop starts, even if i flash the first kernel that did work it still loops on me.

I was on Clockwork and changed over to RA, that did not help, tried both BFS and CFS and no change. Tried Kingx 8 and 9, netarchys 4.18 and 4.19

    Any idea's?

    * I flashed 3.28.651.1 then netarchy's 4.1.9 and it started the BL, then re-flashed 3.28 and tried kingx 9 and it worked, I'm beginning to wonder if there is something with netarchy's kernels that my Evo doesnt care for? I should add that this time when wiping i only wiped cache and dalvik and left the data alone. I suppose the only real way to find the culprit is to test out all the variables.

Weird never had that problem before,it usually happens when the phone does not like the Kernel or when the floor voltage is set low for your phone to handle.FYI data wipe is not required when flashing a Kernel

I had the same problem. Try flashing netarchys 4.19 kernel that is optimized for fresh 3.2 as it is based on the 3.28 rom.

Good to know, it was attached to the cache and i hadnt given it a second thought, if i try again i will stick with just doing the cache and dalvik.

I might try that out, I had thought the problem was being created with the 3.28 so i switched back to the 3.26 and tried again. unfortunately i was having the same problem.

I flashed Fresh yesterday just remember how having Sense feels,I been running it with Netarchys 4.1.9 BFS and I have not had any FC or BL everything is running really smooth other than the combination is not as fast as what I'm used to.

I'm thinking that it may be when i was wiping. I would wipe the data/cache and then the dalvik. Through out the day i ignored the data option and just did cache and dalvik and had no issues (though i have not tried to install another netarchy kernel) I have been messing around with VirusRoms and while flashing a theme i tried the data/cache option and sure enough, bootloop. I'm in the process of restoring nandroid.

    * I believe i have confirmed it was the wiping of the data that was the problem. After several days and different kernels, including net's 4.1.9 i have not had a boot loop issue as of yet.
