flashlight app

And just look at the permissions list: it has the camera permission because it needs it to activate the flash on many devices, but no internet, no access to your accounts/contacts/messages, none of the crap that those dodgy flashlight apps include. So actually it cannot invade your privacy because it cannot access your data and cannot send data back to anyone. Absolutely safe.

That is the key thing to consider: does the app actually need the permissions it has to do its job? If an app is ad-supported (TelsaLED is not - it's free, or you can donate if you like it) then it needs internet permission, but there is no reason at all why a flashlight should need access to your personal data. So any flashlight app that wants access to that stuff should be shunned.
