Folder structure

Hi within the root directory I have mnt, and within that sd card. However at the root level I have sd card too and the contents seem to be replicated. I understand it's a mounted folder but the problem is that I have duplicated folders in the gallery app.

It's normal to see it at the root level and under mnt so I don't think that is the cause of your duplication in the gallery app. It's more likely you have DCIM on the internal memory (sdcard) and on an external SDcard (sdcard/external_sd).

Almost certainly it. Same happened to me when I changed where the camera stored images. That reminds me. Must get round to consolidating them at some point....
