I was wondering how I could follow the BBC cricket commentary using the desire. It's a digital broadcast so the built in fm radio is no use. Nor is it available via the BBC Iplayer. I browsed to the mobile BBC site but that did not provide a link. The BBC radio 5 desktop site did have a 'listen live' option but that simply kicked off the Iplayer.

However, I found that by going to menu - more and settings you get the option to disable the mobile view. I then returned to the radio 5 site and clicked listen live. The commentary then streamed perfectly. Only problem was as soon as I turned it on England lost a wicket but I suppose you cannot have everything!

An alternative to using the iplayer is to listen via one of the radio apps such as Tunein, which I've found to give a good stable stream.

The ECB have just launched an Android app, similar to the I-phone one, available on the market or from ECB.co.uk
