FYI, This is NOT just another phone.

This will be the FIRST phone with dual core processor on AT&T. Up to now, all phones, including Android and iPhones, were based off of ARM Cortex-A8 processor (single core). FYI, just because its dual core, does NOT mean it will have bad battery life. In fact, dual core processors were engineered to reduce power consumption. You will be seeing dual core phones that are MUCH faster and efficient than its Cortex-A8 predecessors

Most premium smartphones coming out in 2011 will be multi-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor. This is a true next generation phone. For those that have been waiting for THE phone, this is the one. In fact, almost all premium smartphones will be MUCH better than its predecessors.

This phone will have for a fact:

    • Tegra 2 processor
    • Dual core processor
    • Front Facing Camera
    • Gingerbread 2.3 (Android OS)

Tegra 2 slide (I assure you battery life will be out of this world good)

    Wow, late january?
    That's crazy.

I'm on Rogers, and the Captivate has been out for less than 1 month here.
It's hilarious cause Rogers might not even release Froyo by the time this phone drops. hahahaha

    P.S.
The Samsung Flagship Phone has all been rumored to pack the Tegra 2.

As long as there is a decent dev community like there is for the Captivate, and granted the phone doesn't look like crap...I'll buy it.

I've been itching to pick up another Android phone and get a better taste of what's out there

I'm willing to pay full price for a new dual core phone with a working gps and something higher than 2.1. This waiting is getting old. I have lag worse than playing call of duty via dial-up.

well.. my upgrade is in feb... awesome.

And very true about dual cores not automatically equating to bad battery life...

I would just say they also have the potential to have worse battery life..I mean.. temptation sucks.. and there will be temptation to do a lot more now.

Dual core hummingbird would be a mind**** for me..
