Not sure if anyone knows, but recently androidforums gave andrynalyne his own rom forum... Judging by the inactivity, not many know about it...

The link to that forum is: adrynalyne - Android Forums

The link to fourth Wave is:
    http://androidforums.com/adrynalyne/161068-rom-fourth-final-wave.html

I added a question there, and would rather not cross post it here. That's why this post is here... To clue in folks there's a new area for future work of adrynalyne, and get his supporters (and more support) over in that forum

    THANKS!!!

Not a fan of how they set these "sub-forums" up for this very reason. Most people don't look outside of their own device related forums. While I understand that some dev's do create ROM's for multiple devices, I really think these sub-forums should reside under the device the ROM's were created for. If that means that some dev's end up with multiple sub-forums, so be it if it means people will actually look at those forums.

Looking over the whole forum instead of sticking in the "Incredible" forum has given me a greater perspective over the whole android experience. I would hate for people to continue to confine themselves. It doesn't make browsing easier per-say, but it doesn't make it any harder.

BTW- 4th wave is amazing. It's like taking out the trash in official froyo :) Support this dev!

I agree with you. However, people aren't confining themselves. They come here for information about android on their device. When you design a community that's based around sub-communities (which is how af is designed), you are segregating users from the get go. While it helps having the "Favorite forums" mod, it still doesn't make a lot of sense from a browsing experience to have device specific information outside of device specific forums.

Think about it this way. Since these new dev forums are so new, there aren't that many devs in there yet. Give it a few weeks/months, and there will be hundreds (considering anyone with a ROM can get dev status now apparently). So now I have to figure out which dev's make ROM's for my device, and subscribe to them individually.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason it's setup this way is for ease of control by the mods. It's a lot easier to create a group and give them all access to one sub-forum than it is to create multiple sub-forums.

Yeah that logic is sound. Would it be nice to see the dev forums soft-linked to the Incredible - All Things Root? In flow it would look like this

Android Forums > Android Phones > HTC Incredible > Incredible - All Things Root > Incredible - ROMs> adrynalyne

Android Forums > Android Phones > Motorola Droid X > Droid X - All Things Root > adrynalyne

Both sub forums wouldn't really exist except in navigation. So you would navigate to that area and it would look like another sub forum... but it would take you to..

Android Forums > Android Development > Custom ROMs > adrynalyne

This is so the dev has their own one stop sub-forum and can host all releases, regardless of platform, from one location.

Shoot me down if it seems too complicated, but sometimes new ideas need a little tweaking.

I don't want to mod-bash, but they keep doing odd crap like this. Makes it especially frustrating given that I'm often using mobile browser (since they disabled tapatalk for 'security'), so if I can't get to it via the nav links at the top, I pretty much won't go.

I know this isn't the appropriate place to rant, but I'm willing to pay whatever they want, just make the site work and stop making random changes without reasonable notifications.

Anyway - thanks for the heads up because I was sitting here waiting for adrynalynes 4th wave.

    Guys,

What is the difference between 4th Wave and FrankenROM B6?

Is 4th Wave from the official DI Froyo build and Franken is taken from the EVO?

It is my understanding that 4th wave is all from the official Inc build and franken is built with pieces from both the inc and EVO build (thus the name Franken)
