    Not my work!

Been sitting around waiting for a Franco Kernel for 4.2, but his app says there isn't one. Turns out the app was wrong.

You can download it here: http://minooch.com/franciscofranco/Nexus7/4.2/

Fun fact: if you use franco's app, back up your current kernel, then move the above file into the backup folder, and you can flash it without a computer by using the restore function on franco's app. (probably common knowledge, but I was excited it worked as I don't have a computer nearby)

I flashed it last night. All seems well in the world now :D

That's the only thing I've been missing.

How's your adventures in undervolting going? I'm down 100 right now. Seems plenty stable.

Well when 4.2 came out I was back to stock kernel.

I left voltages at stock until I flashed this last night. I bumped it down 100 as well and all seemed fine

What you guys mean as undervolt ? Is it the same as under clocking? Lol

Underclocking is slowing down the CPU max speed

Undervolting is lowering how much juice it gets from the battery

    Both can help save battery

What else can you do with this kernel?

    Underclock
    Undervolt
    Power profiles
    Change your governer
    Change your I/O scheduler

I'm working on a guide for franco's right now because I had questions like you. It should be up in the next few days.

Kernels are device specific!!! Never flash anything that isn't specifically made for your device

With that being said, there should be one available for the galaxy nexus
