Well, I think your only recourse is to take it where you bought it from and play dumb, tell them it wont boot up for some reason and you need a replacement. Did you try a battery pull at least?

Dude just run RUU to go back to stock... you will be fine.

Alternatively, you can just boot into recovery, wipe factory data, wipe dalvik and then try to reflash the rom... that should get it working.

    yeah man, go here

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

download file and rename to: PC36IMG.zip (make sure not to name it (PC36IMG.zip.zip)) just PC36IMG.zip

put this file on your SD card (sounds like you'll need to take SD card out of your phone and use a usb adapter to put the file on your card.

turn phone off, hold volume down and power button, go to recovery option using volume up/down buttons and load the PC36IMG.zip file ( i think you just select 'yes' to load new file

good luck! you will have a locked out of box EVO again.
then update your system with the OTA updates

maybe do some more reading on the xda site to learn about rooting and roms

Oh and run HTCsync first (look it up on HTC's site) because you'll need the drivers.

turn the phone off, then hold the power down key and press power on. When you see the recovery screen just remove your fingers, plug in, and run the .exe

^^This is terrible advice. You don't want to bring a rooted phone into the store from where you bought it. If you need to bring it in, you need to unroot it first. Most likely, you won't need to bring it in because whatever it is can be fixed.

It is really difficult to brick a phone with the root process. It is, however, really easy to panic when something does go wrong. Stay calm and follow the other advice that was given on this thread--it seems to be pretty spot on.
