Today when I logged into gmail on my computer, I got a message at the top in red saying my account may have been accessed by an unauthorized source and advising me to change my password immediately. The IP address was listed and I looked it up...MOTOBLUR. This makes me nervous. Does anyone know why this happned?
This is from the "Details" area of gmail:

That is strange.. I just looked at my gmail and I've only had logins from my home and work IP addresses. I would change your password just to be safe. If something breaks you'll know what was causing those logins.

Gmail actually just alerted me to the same exact thing. It gave me a warning indicating that this same IP address may have used my Gmail account unauthorized. This is really scary and makes me wonder why Motorola didn't contact me if they had a security breach. I actually called the phone number in the IP address which was Motorola Blur. The gentleman I spoke with told me that it was a bug in Google's servers that was causing it. He first asked me if I had recently installed the Facebook App for Droid, and I told him no I hadn't. This is really frightening to me, as why on earth is Motorola passing my Gmail login details to Facebook?!

He then asked me if I had recently added a Picasa account to my Droid X, and I had the day before getting the error. He then told me that this was the cause of the security warning I got. I don't believe this, as the IP address is coming back to Motorola, not Google, and Google also owns Picasa, so I use the same login for Gmail as I do Picasa. Certainly Gmail would recognize this relationship.

Google indicates that when they send this alert, the IP address connects attempted multiple passwords before finally successfully accessing the account. This leads me to believe that there was malicious intent, and a security breach.

I'm going to continue to look into this, and try and get an answer why he mentioned Facebook.

Here's the IP address, and the WHOIS info about the computer that accessed my Gmail account:

Just to update on this, I added a Picasa account to the phone recently and got this message. It is clearly a Google/Motorola issue, perhaps stemming from Motorola's picasa widget hooking into your picasa account. After reading on the web, it doesn't seem malicious, but it was a bit scary.
