Hi from Chalk River.
I've been interested in high tech for many years. Yes, I'm a "tecky". My PDA and cell were still working fine, but their limitations were becoming unnecessary. That so now with the selection of more modern and more capable devices available. Hence my new droid os in an HTC Desire. I'm about 90 percent converted with the remaining bit of lower priority.
Quite a learning curve, but not as much as dreaded. Actually most of the learning has been pleasant, but I haven't got my first bill yet either.
Still a bit concerned about the potentially much higher cost of operation compared to my previous PDA and cell. Also some concerns that so many of the built in programs demand anytime access to my non-existent data plan.
