    I followed this guide Here

When I try to use some apps that need root access they don't work. I still have the superuser icon but nothing is listed and its just blank.

What do I need to do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you are actually in 2.2? To my knowledge there is no Droid compatible 2.2 ROM that exists currently that isn't rooted. What version does your phone say under settings > about phone > android version?

You could try using the fix permissions button in ROM Manager or the "Problems?" button in Titanium Backup, but I'm not sure how well they will work in 2.2 - haven't tried it.

That's pretty strange though. You're just getting root access permission denied messages or what?

What happens when you type "su" in the terminal?

I'm going to guess that busybox needed to be installed into \system\bin\

But glad to hear you got things working with one of those themed ROMs.

this isnt a busy box issue its an issue with either the su or superuser.apk file. For anyone else that has this problem just install the zip below from recovery and your issue will be gone.

Ok. I just wanted to put that suggestion out there since the OP stated that only some apps didn't work. I remember the busybox issue was the case for some people.

The weird thing is, is that the phone worked great. I just could not use the rooted apps. All the other apps worked just fine.

Right that is because the other apps were not trying to get root access...

This is actually happening to me right now. I just rooted and am sure I'm on 2.2, but I noticed that I don't have a ninja icon when I search the market. I literally just finished rooting from the how to video on unlockr.... and had to jump on here to feed my info addiction....saw this and....guess what?! I went into ROM manager and when I try to change the SU permissions I get an error saying "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands."

Ill try the suggested fix in the morning...hope it works.

Either way..YAY for 2.2 root. Let the fun begin!

And thanks to everyone on here....like I said I feed my AF info addiction all the time...thanks for the knowledge and the sweet FroYo treats!

EDIT: Just loaded Kangerade v1.0 Chevy LV1250 and I'm smokin'!!!! Flashed another Recovery which solved my SU permission probs.
