A coworker has a Droid - Froyo is scheduled to start being pushed out on Friday. It was apparently leaked and he updated it today. His Quadrant scores went from the 350 range running 2.1u1 to 856. His Droid now runs as fast as my Captivate. I can't wait to see how fast this thing runs with Froyo.

I only get around 800-850. I'm not sure I've ever benchmarked in the 890's.

so my friend and I decided to have a phone (penis) contest to see who's phone is faster...but when he ran Quadrant it hangs on 1/4 of the I/O test (file system writes)

I rooted the phone and removed a bunch of useless junk without any progress...still hangs...

just exchanged my captivate that i got on 7/21, quadrant score was 891 with out ATT bloatware on it, phone was rooted.

today with new one, which is not rooted, got 914. it seems like new phone is not lagging, gps is working, no issues. hope it stays that way.

I'm curious to know what everyone's score is after a week or two for those who returned their phone and saw a huge improvement initially.
