Did a full reset on the Backflip. Motoblur restored everything, including home page customizations, except for the custom apps I installed from the Marketplace. The real advantage here that I see is that the restore is over the air. This is pretty huge. Every other smartphone (include iPhone) required your home computer to resync.

This is one advantage to managing your pictures, vids and music in a separate memory space (SD card) than your OS.

I'm adding this to my pros list.

Update: Have to re-pair my bluetooth devices and recalibrate compass. Not a big deal

I can verify this and love this option. Since I have to hard reset every once in a while (trying to crack this) it is nice to get all of my settings back :D

Yeah I really dig this part of blur. I used a backup off the market and compared to blurs service it blew the market option away.

Blur+Astro for apps all the way.

Just wish there was more config for which aspects of blur were used. Id love a better understanding of how its different processes were related and woven. As it stands it looks like you either will have blur or you won't after we root and start cooking roms. Hopefully we can get a balanced blur-lite rom going(-a lot of the social parts, I'm sure I'm not the only one who could live without em heh).

Wow I'm gonna take my drug addled brain to bed. Sorry if anythings comes off as a rant. Just thinking aloud as it were.
