Fun things to do with my old G1

I have a G1 that I don't use anymore because I've upgraded.

What are fun things I can do with it? I was thinking maybe root it and install Ubuntu. And maybe come up with fun things from there. Not sure what to do from there. I was thinking about installing a webserver like node.js and possibly making a website.

What would you all do with an old phone?
