G1 light (black light short?) help

recently black light on my g1 wont work while phone is closed, its acting as if there is a short, but today the light wouldn't respond to any actions, turned it off, back on, open close, fully charged...not sure what to do..tmobiles the last place i want to go..any suggestions???

if u have warranty on ur phone use it if not take it to ur local phone repair shop
