I recently upgraded to ICS and proceeded to root and flash the Blazer ROM. My battery life prior to rooting was not great, but its been progressively getting worse lately. Last night, the newest low: 4.5 hours from 100% charge to power off...all while I was asleep. This is with Juice Defender running. Ive also attempted to calibrate my battery with Battery Calibration, and tested the battery with AnTuTu Battery Tester (I the phone died before it finished). During this 4.5 hours in which my phone wasnt being used, the screen used 32% of the battery.

The battery I have is the stock battery, so just over a year old. Is the battery just bad possibly? I dont leave radios on that Im not using, have excessive widgets or live wallpaper, etc, and do all of the other standard stuff to save battery life.

Sounds like a bad battery. Give it the spin test. Take it out and spin it on a flat surface. If it spins, then it's bad. Of course, it doesn't always have to spin to be bad, but the bulging battery is the easiest sign to detect.

Thanks, hadnt heard of that test before...and yes, it definitely does spin. Would there be something I did that would cause this, or was it just defective?

Thought I would add, if you buy an aftermarket battery expect it to get around 2/3 of what a stock battery gets. Aftermarket batteries are notorious for not meeting expectations.

I had the same problem. I also didn't know anything about the spin test but sure enough it turned out to be a bad battery. Finally seems as if my battery life is back to normal.

Batteries go bad and die. It's likely nothing that you did. It's actually a pretty common problem.

I'm having the same problem.... I went into sprint and they said that the best they could do was a hard reset. The battery turned out to be fine.....
