One of the awesome features of Android devices is the ability to generate a barcode of one of your contacts that another phone can then scan to quickly transfer that contacts information to the other device.

Has anyone been able to generate a barcode for a contact on this phone?
The barcode scanner that comes with the device is not able to access the contacts on the phone (at least I haven't figured out how, and neither could T-Mobile Tech Support, T-Mobiles Mytouch dept, nor HTC)

I also tried downloading Barcode Generator from the Marketplace and it could not access contacts on the phone either.

Neither application has access to any contacts regardless of where they are stored.

Anyone know a way around this??

I believe we have something called Vcard... I dont know what it is sorry. I was fooling around with it just now and under the menu in contacts we have the option to send contact. Then a drop down menu with send contact as vcard (sms, mms, mail or bluetooth) I sent a contact to myself and it worked.

As to your bar code i dont know.
