Ok i know that samsung beholders can do this on their phones,

however, I would like to know if anyone here has tried it for their slides.

There is a rumor that says that you can get 10 dollar internet/month, instead of 30/month and it still is the same speed.

The process would go like this.

    1. find an old phone, (tmobile tap, nokia, sony), that you know could get the 9.99/month internet.

    2. Add your sim card into that phone.

    3. go to tmobile.com/ log in, and make sure it says you are using the new/old phone. (if not, then change it, log out and then check it by logging back in).

    4. Tell your tmobile person that you gave away/broke/lost your phone and need the 9.99 internet for your old phone.

    5. Once the internet has been activated, switch our your sim, and everytime you need to call tmobile, then just switch out your phone.

The speeds should be the same.

So if anyone knows about this, or has had a successful experience with no side effects, post here your experience. Your feedback could save us all a bunch of money. :)

Nope won't work. It works on the behold because it was designed as a "phone first" device, the only android phone that was designed that way. That's why phone first data plans work and also why the b2 sucks, I.e. Bad with pushing updates through, slow, watered down version of android and so on. This does not work for the slide! Plus c'mon guy pay for what you use, I hate people trying to get five pounds of potatoes for a one pound price. You want their service then I believe you should pay for it.

Well i was sticking up for the "right" thing, but I got dogged in the behold II forums, so i figured people didn't want to do the right thing anymore.

Im just the type of person that tries to share the knowledge if I have it. :)

The behold forum is disfunctional...don't go by them. The new members have killed it and most of the good long time members have moved on to new phones (most like u and I moved onto the slide) It is good that you like to share what you know, very cool, but just because you know how to build a bomb doesn't mean you should teach others to build one too!

Tell that to the samsung behold threaders

Behold_This should know what I'm talking about.

He knows about the thread in which everyone claimed that the 9.99 internet was the same speed as the $30 internet

I was also the one trying to tell them that once you buy an android phone, you are required to get either $30/month internet, or pay $10/month for NOT having internet.

    I was thread "jumped" lol

Well thats what happens when a phone gets abandoned, sometimes the wrong people step up and turn something ok into something bad.

They think they are owed more, so when they see a way to compensate themselves, they all stand for it.
