Hey guys, so I'd rather not go into details about why I need this, but basically I want to be able to access a PDF file straight from the home screen. Do you guys know of a way to do this?

You don't need to put your file on the Homescreen ... in fact you can't. But what you can do is create a shortcut to it. ;)
    And here's how:

    - Go to the Market and install Linda File Manager. (Or use the link and/or QR Code below)
    - Once installed, open Linda File Manager and navigate to the file.
    - Long-press on the file and tap on "Create Shortcut"
    - Done.

Note: The shortcut will be sent to the last desktop (homescreen) you were on. So you might want to go to the proper desktop homescreen before opening Linda File Manager. Or simply find the shortcut, long-press and drag it to wherever you want it to go.

Linda File Manager - Use your barcode scanner app on your DROID (you do have one, right?) to scan the QR Code below. That'll take you straight to the Market page where you can install the app.

    Hope this helps...
