That just means it will include support for a display resolution of 1280x760 for devices with screen size 4+ inches.

According to Korean newspapers, Samsung is 'reviewing' the option of providing SGS users with the Gingerbread 3.0 update.

Given their track record, I'm just not too sure although Samsung has this week OFFICIALLY confirmed through an OFFICIAL announcement in the U.S that Froyo 2.2 will be made available for SGS later this year.

As we can find similar problems with other manufacturers, like HTC, I'm not very worried about Samsung's track record. And if they for some reason wouldn't upgrade it we should get a custom ROM for it.

We have already gotten our first custom ROM for the SGS yesterday, which is very quick after it's release.
